BONNIE is a pointer x around 2 yrs old, rescued by the Humane Society.
She’s a happy affectionate girl who loves cuddles. She’s smart, food motivated and enjoys learning new things. Her favourite game is to take all the toys outside to play and leave them there.
Bonnie could live on her own but preference is given to a home with another confident, stable dog of similar size. She loves rough-housing with resident dog.
Bonnie has some leash frustration, predominantly with dogs who react to her, behind fences or on leash and this is exacerbated in a suburban environment.
She is great with dogs off leash and loves nothing more than a run in the forest or beach. We are therefore looking for a home that is more rural where her predominant exercise is beach/forest, provided these needs are met, she has average exercise requirements.
Bonnie would suit kids of 12+ years and is looking for a home without cats
BONNIE has been vet-checked, spayed, vaccinated microchipped and is currently registered so we will ask for a minimum DONATION of $200 towards these costs.
If you are interested in adopting her you will need a securely fenced property to keep her contained which a volunteer from the Society will check prior to her being released to her new home
You will also need to meet her at our foster home in Helensville as we WILL NOT send dogs anywhere and must meet all prospective new owners.
Our aim is to adopt each dog to a compatible owner. The Humane Society reserves the right to decline any dog adoption application at its discretion.
