**POPPY IS WITH OUR FOSTER HOME IN WAIHI AND CAN ONLY BEEN SEEN THERE.**
POPPY is a female domestic short-haired kitten aged around 15 weeks rescued by the Humane Society.
Poppy was trapped as a Kitten and was wild along with her sister and brother. She had been starved and was rescued at 8 wks of age. She had no human contact before she was rescued.
Poppy is very shy .She is not very confident. She is definitely a lap cat and would spend all her time snuggled up on your lap if you let her. She is super sweet and very affectionate and is just starting to let her playful side show. She has an amazing fine soft coat and has a close bond with her identity brother “Jasper” (see separate listing) who protects her and brings her out of her shell. It would be good if they were adopted together but not essential.
Due to Poppy’s traumatic start in life she will need someone who is patient and quiet and let’s her gain her confidence in the time that she needs. A noisy family with young robust children would not be suitable for her but adolescents children should be fine.
An elderly person who lives on their own would be ideal.
Poppy has been vaccinated & spayed, deflea’d, wormed and has tested FIV negative, so we do ask for a minimum donation of $80.00 which doesn’t cover all costs.
Our aim is to adopt each cat to a compatible owner. The Humane Society reserves the right to decline any cat adoption application at its discretion.
We do not send animals anywhere sight unseen & need to meet all potential new owners.
