The Humane Society of New Zealand Inc believes that the single most important tool in the effort to deal with unwanted animals is the prevention of indiscriminate breeding. It is our absolute belief that all pets should be desexed.

In support of this, the Society administers a Spay and Neuter assistance fund whereby people who wish to desex their pets but are having difficulty with the cost can apply for assistance.

This assistance can be offered solely due to a generous bequest, made for this specific purpose. Anyone needing this assistance can download our pdf application form, or phone to request an application form.

The Humane Society of NZ has desexing of pets as one of it’s core aims. They provide fostering and rehoming of needy dogs and cats.
