Jasper and Duke are 9.5 years old, still full of life and love. They were both rescued by the Humane Society. Jasper has had surgery on both hips, which slows him down a little - Duke is as fit as a fiddle. The two boys have settled in well and are inseparable so can only go together. They will need secure fencing and new owners who have experience with chocolate labs. They have no sense of personal bubbles haha - see photos. They aren't easy to walk on a lead (they pull until they get tired) but they don't need long walks especially Jasper who tends to get tired & sore. They need committed loving owners to enjoy their retirement together. They are fine with confident cats, other dogs & human company but are also happy with each other. Jasper loves the water but Duke is more of a toe dipper. Both will do anything for a treat, are lovely natured dogs just a little bolshie. Jasper & Duke have been vet-checked, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and are currently registered so we will ask for a minimum DONATION of $250 for both towards these costs. If you are interested in adopting them, you will need a securely fenced property to keep them contained which a volunteer from the Society will check prior to them being released to their new homes. You will also need to meet them at our foster home in South Auckland as we WILL NOT send dogs anywhere and must meet all prospective new owners. Our aim is to adopt each dog to a compatible owner.
