Good with other pets? Probably a bit much for small dogs and will chase cats so cannot go to a home with them.
Good with kids? Over 8 years only

MARIE is a 7 mth American Bulldog x recently rescued by the Humane Society.

Marie is a big, bouncy solid girl who is great with other dogs (maybe a bit much for small dogs) who also loves to play and have cuddles. She likes to go walking and is now learning to do so nicely on a lead.

She will chase cats so needs a home without any.

If a family situation, older children (over 8-10 years only) as she would bowl little ones over right off their feet! A resident dog would need to be around her size and build for the same reason as above. She would also love some human daytime companionship. Most dogs don't do well left alone for long periods of time, and she is no exception to this.

Marie has been to the vet, been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and currently registered so we will ask for a minimum DONATION of $200 towards these costs.

If you are interested in adopting her you will need a securely fenced property to keep her contained which a volunteer from the Society will check prior to her being released to her new home.

You will also need to meet her at our foster home in South Auckland as we WILL NOT send dogs anywhere and must meet all prospective new owners.

Our aim is to adopt each dog to a compatible owner. The Humane Society reserves the right to decline any dog adoption application at its discretion.

Please email or phone our volunteer for more information.
