Good with other pets? Gets excited around cats but is too slow to do anything
Good with kids?
Tess is a 13 year old fox terrier weighing in at 9.7kgs rescued by Humane Society. She came to us as her elderly owner had health issues and couldn't keep her.
She has been extensively vet checked, had blood tests and a dental so is all good to go.

She is a total "foodie" who should weigh around 7.5 kgs.

Although Tess is a senior she shows enthusiasm for walks that can only be rivalled by a 6 mth puppy. She is very social and well-adjusted, is house and crate-trained but does get a little excited around cats although not fast enough to do anything other than show interest.

She is a little deaf in the low octave range, high octave and whistles she hears well and is tuned into vibrations.

Her forever home needs to be with someone who can love and appreciate the value of a senior, walk her every day and be her companion to the end.

Tess has been to the vet, been checked, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and is currently registered so we will ask for a minimum DONATION of $200 towards these costs.

If you are interested in adopting her, you will need a securely fenced property to keep her contained which a volunteer from the Society will check prior to her being released to her new home.

You will also need to meet her at our foster home at Waitoki, just out of Silverdale. We WILL NOT send dogs anywhere and must meet all prospective new owners.

Our aim is to adopt each dog to a compatible owner. The Humane Society reserves the right to decline any dog adoption application at its discretion.

Please phone or  email for more information.
