Doreen is an approx 8 month old American Bulldog x. She has fur like velvet, squishy rolls and a snoot perfect for booping. She loves affection and is a champion snuggler.
Doreen can be a little unsure in new situations initially but she’s a happy girl and with encouragement she blossoms. She’s generally chill but ready to be your right hand girl at a moments notice when the action starts, or when the witching hour strikes, she busts out her best WWE moves. She seems to like kids she’s met but as she can be a giant puppy who doesn’t know her size when excited, they’d need to be over 10.
Doreen would love to live with another mature dog who will appreciate her wrestling prowess, can help build her confidence, but also correct her when she’s inappropriately coming in hot off the top ropes (all in good fun). Doreen could live with confident cats, her new family will need to have a well stocked plushy toy collection.
Doreen grew up in the shelter and passionately dislikes the car so she needs continued socialising within walking distance.
Doreen has been vet-checked, spayed, vaccinated microchipped and is currently registered so we ask a minimum DONATION of $200 towards these costs.
Her new owner must have a securely fenced property, which a volunteer from the Society will check prior to her being released to her new home.
You will also need to meet her at our foster home in Helensville as we WILL NOT send dogs anywhere and must meet all prospective owners.
Our aim is to adopt each dog to a compatible owner. The Humane Society reserves the right to decline any dog adoption application at its discretion.
