APPLICATIONS FOR ADOPTION GREATER AUCKLAND AREA ONLY
IRIS is a 9 yr old Shih Tzu recently rescued by the Humane Society.
As she is in the older age bracket, we have had blood tests done and they were all good.
She is another of the sweet older girls we currently have in foster care. Her ideal home would be with perhaps an older person or couple, who can take her for the walks she loves.
She gets on well with the other dogs in our foster home and takes no notice of the staunch family cat, but could be tempted to chase if a cat ran from her.
If a family situation, children 8 years and over only. We have no history on her and have idea how she would respond to young children – not worth the risk to a child or Iris either.
IRIS has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and registered so we ask for a donation of $200 towards our costs, which doesn’t cover them.
Her new owner must have a securely fenced property as per above, which a volunteer from the Society will check prior to her being released to her new home.
You will also need to meet her at our foster home in South Auckland as we WILL NOT send dogs anywhere and must meet all prospective owners.
Our aim is to adopt each dog to a compatible owner. The Humane Society reserves the right to decline any dog adoption application at its discretion.
